8 years agoThis is a great bike and we sold quite a few of them. Would like to mention few things that was missed in the written content. This particular model has Bosch CX drive which is a superior drive compared to the older performance line. It’s one of the lightest, fully featured commuter ebike in our store. Felt Sport-E is lighter but it doesn’t have the suspension fork or the stury rack.

5 years agoLove this bike mostly, BUT the lights are not well designed and the range is less than advertised.
Because it’s a hardtail, and because of where the light is, the back light has gotten bounced off the bike several times. Most recently this happened to me on a rainy dark night and the front light went out at the same time, kinda scary. The front light also comes loose because it’s held in by a bolt that loosens when you adjust the light. And the bolt for the front light is a star shaped Allen wrench, something most people don’t carry around with them.
One more thing about this bike, the range is drastically less than advertised. On eco, mine, on a full change, gets about 65. Now that it’s starting to get cold, it seems to be getting even less. I’ll start riding and just watch the range drop by 2 or three miles in mins. Does not make me feel safe when I lose ten miles in the first ten mins of a ride.

5 years agoHi Adrian, thanks for this “real world” feedback. Yeah, cold weather tends to reduce effective battery capacity and I have experienced light failures on other products with hardtail setups (and suspension mounted lights). I still think that the drive system and overall build of this bike is good, but can see the limitations you’re talking about for sure. Range is such a difficult topic because there are so many factors involved. I hope that for the most part, this ebike still works for you, and that maybe you can find a replacement light that is more durable. Thanks again for sharing your experiences here with us.
