If you’re on the heavy side or need to climb hills, the answer is YES. The Active Line drive is good for people who don’t need a lot of assistance. That drive struggles at hillclimbing unless you’re light and fit. The heavier you are, the more painful it will be.
With my 220 pounds, the Active Line is almost unbearable when climbing hills above 5% grade. I wouldn’t use the system even if the bike was given to me free!
