Juggernaut Ultra 1000 with thinner tires?

Just curious if anyone knows (Roshan can answer if he sees this) if the Ultra 1000 can come in thinner tires?

If the fit/feel works out, I'd like to build as a commuter type bike, but I really don't need fat tires. I was hoping to get something like 1.5 to 2" tires. Is that just not strong enough for the weight of the bike?

Anyone know if it's possible to get a Juggernaut Ultra 1000 with thinner tires?

Yep, all of the latest Juggernauts have the option for 27.5" x 3.0", which is pretty popular I think. I've got a set on mine with Wrathchilds and they rock. Next wheel set coming soon on mine is 4" Cake Eaters on 27.5 as well.

I think the thinnest I'd ever run on these bikes is 2.8" on 27.5, there are some great tire options in that size. 2.6" is also a strong format these days. Rim width would be in the 30-40mm zone for these sizes, which is going to be a bit whack on a 190mm hub, but should be okay at the nipples (and otherwise a very strong wheel due to the spoke angle)

We've done Ultras in the past with 29x2.1 wheels. Let me see if I can find a picture of it for you.

Great to know that they can go smaller. If I do end up going for the Ultra 1000, then I'll go for smaller tires like 2.1-2.5 maybe. Thanks.

Crazy! Although not too crazy when it's 29er format we're talking about. I hadn't even considered that option (but I like the wider stuff)
