Best option right now? [Haibike FullFatSix]

So, just a small update on how things went. The response I got from my bike shop was to send them a photo or video of what's wrong with the motor. But of course that would require opening the motor and voiding the warranty, a typical catch-22. So I sent the motor to an independent repair shop...

Known Issues & Problems with Riese & Müller Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Without knowing more about your requirements I would recommend the NC-17 Trekking handlebar. I have it on several bikes (including a R&M Delite GX) and find it perfect if you want to ride comfortably in an upright position.

It is officially the case. Bosch is on the warpath, obviously trying to get people to either give up or move to the HS motors for extra cost.

Cassette durability! Convert to SRAM EX1? Try Rohloff E14, Nuvinci n360?

Here's an idea: what if you simply stock up on 11t cogs? They are cheap.

Neoprene Ebike Battery Covers for Cold Weather

I've been riding my bikes with and without these covers. In terms of cold, bikes work just fine down to –20°C without the covers. However, the covers provide an additional important benefit: they protect the batteries from dirt.

Cassette durability! Convert to SRAM EX1? Try Rohloff E14, Nuvinci n360?

Okay, well let me prefix this by saying that the Bafang Ultra is, ahem, a pretty bad motor. It's made infinitely worse by the default programming that it originally comes with. Its startup behavior is very abrupt, which puts unreasonable strain on the chain, leading to premature chain wear. Some...

    Disappointed by TSDZ2 torque-motor performance

From what I know, someone on Endless Sphere is promoting open-source firmware for TSDZ2, you might want to check it out.

    Found it!!! Downloadable right here!

Looking for Bafang Ultra tuning software

The standard tool for BBSHD series motors is called BafangConfigTool and is actually freely available. I have no trouble finding that. Problem is, G510 also has throttle control settings, which is why there is a different tool — the tool that Frey provides their customers. It's an...

Looking for Bafang Ultra tuning software

This is definitely not what I'm looking for. I already have the programming cable (just a serial-USB interface adapter), what I'm after is the software. It's a piece of software very similar to that for the BBS* series motors, but has the additional Torque page.

Best option right now? [Haibike FullFatSix]

No, I still prefer Yamaha to Bosch, simply because it handles more naturally. But this isn't a nice development, obviously, and it's made more complicated by the fact that Haibike wants (at least, they said so) the entire bike in order to fix the motor. I told them I can just remove the motor...

Best option right now? [Haibike FullFatSix]

Ooh and now I have some bad news, I'm afraid. My motor started developing clicks, and now the motor pawls are slipping periodically, resulting in pedal freespin. Not good! And this is after only a year of relatively light use. This sure is different to my first Bosch, which survived 2 years...

Looking for Bafang Ultra tuning software

Hey, can anyone share the tuning software for the Bafang Ultra (G510) drive? I know that Frey gives it to its customers, but I bought my Ultra without the bike. Thanks!

My very small feedback of the GX super charger Rohloff HS after 400km

That is very strange to hear. You typically only get steering issues on 4.8" with loosely inflated tires, heavy tires (e.g., Kenda) or heavy handlebars.Under 'normal' conditions, e.g., Shwalbe JJ 4" + Jones H-loop you should have absolutely no steering issues. Carbon rim lightness was, most...

My very small feedback of the GX super charger Rohloff HS after 400km

Sadly most manufacturers nowadays are calling 3" tires fat (e.g., Specialized). Yes, 3" is better than 2.6" but nowhere as good as 3.8" and above. If they made a Delite with 3.8" tires and Fox 34 'Fat' fork, that would be the perfect bike!
