how do you feel about the current regulatory system for e-Bikes in the US?

The 28 MPH limit is a carryover from European regs, where Class 3 eBikes are limited to 45 KPH and require license and insurance. The US has lagged Europe on development and adoption of eBikes as transportation; We still think of bikes as toys. How many of you have been called "cheaters"...

Because it's a large and I'm 6'1". My Z1 is a Medium and even with a stem extender and 200 mm dropper post it's too small for me.I should have bought a large but Luna encourages riders to go to a smaller size. They ride very similarly. Z1 Paint job is hands down better than anything else.

Selling like new Z1, Size Medium, no scratches never crashed, under 300 miles. Too small for me, just acquired a large Apollo and wife says one must go. Upgraded with 200 mm dropper post, side display and throttle. $4200 includes SPARE BATTERY. Bay Area PM me.

To change to LVC you have to go into the controller settings using a special cable, laptop, and free software from Bafang. I used jonA smooth Frey settings provided earlier in this thread and lowered LVC to 38v. Stock is 41v but as you have noted it cuts back to “reserve” power at 46v...

I received mine yesterday and I can confirm that it fits exactly with no modification. I ordered the 48v15aH for $330. The original battery is 48v17.5 aH (which is what you have noted above) costs $100 more. I realize that better cells cost more, but to me 2.5 aH wasn't worth an extra $100. I...

I’m thinking it’s 13s3p. Using 21700 cells with 4900 mah, that would be 48v15ah, about the same as a 13p5s using 3000 maH 18650 cells

Yes, that's what the JonA Frey tune does. Helps a lot. Brought my range up from 14 miles to almost 19 miles.

This is a real issue. I performed JonA's Frey tune and it does dramatically reduce the cadence assist (pedal assist) in favor or torque assist, and feels much more natural. It also lowers the LVC to 38V. so you get a bit more range out of the battery. However Once the battery gets to about 45...

I swapped out wheels with my other bike, 40 mm tubules Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR. Grabs hold and doesn't let go! What amazing grip. The Rekons are adequate general purpose tires, but for single track grip the Minions are in a class of their own. The Apollo is spec'd for minions, which cost...

I think it would be unlikely that the bearings had no grease. More likely the seat between the metal headset race and the carbon Frame had a minute amount of rubbing, creating the creaking sound. When carbon creaks the frame magnifies the sound. A drop of oil stop the rubbing.

Did anyone ever determine if these are the correct hangars for the Z1? I bent mine this weekend and its only a matter of time till I break one, would like to get a pare to have on hand.

As far as 12 speeds go I have been riding an HPC Scout hard tail SRAM GX 12 speed with M620 Ultra, 52v 21AH Direwolf battery for about 1.5 years and over 5000 miles. Mostly as my commuter where I am riding at max power continuously for 15 miles at 30-35 mph, except for a mile at the end which is...

I had a loud, super obnoxious creaking headset. Im betting others are having this problem - headset creaks like crazy, tightening compression, headset and handlebar connections doesn't make a difference. Creaks are common with Carbon but this was ridiculous. Finally tipped the bike over and...
