Horn, Bell or Voice, how to warn others of your presence and intentions

I use a bell, and an Air Zound Air Horn. Uses air pressurized in a plastic bottle…is loudest bike horn you will ever hear. Use your floor pump to fill it with air. I have used it for 20 years on my Lightning F40, fully faired recumbent, the fastest bike in the US, made in CA. I use the bell...

    Chain wear gauge?

They also made a two speed internally shifted, by pedalling backward to shift to the opposite gear. It was called a kickback shifter, and it had a coaster brake. I used to have a few of them. There were 3 versions, based on the color of stripes around the hub. Red, yellow, or blue.

36 volt battery charges to 41.8 volts.

I accidentally left my charger on overnight, and this morning I have 42 volts instead of 41.8 v that I had from the prior charge!

36 volt battery charges to 41.8 volts.

Is that a good price? I paid about $600, for the 36 volt 10Ah battery in my kit, when I priced out the components for my whole kit from them about3 years ago.

36 volt battery charges to 41.8 volts.

My new voltmeter doesn’t even measure the tenths…which I can’t find since moving. So I am using an older voltmeter, which happens to measure tenths, otherwise I would not have even seen the .2v difference, as the new voltmeter rounded up to 42 volts. I am going to assume the battery is just...

No throttle and no way home today... :(

Having had 2 heart attacks while bike riding, I have throttle in case I have another heart attack. I ride a short wheelbase recumbent, with a kit I put on it. I use the cadence sensor most of the time, but use the throttle to get started, and when I get on a rough trail with sand or rocks so I...

36 volt battery charges to 41.8 volts.

Hi, I have a 36 volt battery that I have used for two years, from ebikekit.com . About 50 discharge cycles from 100% down to 50% or 60% typically. Today I topped off the battery, but this time it seemed it was taking longer than usual, and the charger was warm to the touch, so I checked the...

PPV....how would add assist to this one?

I think the front wheel motor will be my choice. Replacing the fork with a disc compatible one and adding a disc brake should be easier than coming up with an adapter for the rear Wheel. Thanks for both your help. Ken

PPV....how would add assist to this one?

I wondered if doing the front wheel would be easier. Who sells a 12” hub motor?

PPV....how would add assist to this one?

Oh, that is neat with the solid axle, so one motor would power both wheels.

PPV....how would add assist to this one?

Here is a better pic of the rear axle and wheel setup. And it is a 3 speed transmission, with some sort of sliding mechanism to change the gear selection, hence the 3 small chains on the drive system.
