Non-folding: go with Radrover for 1699
Folding: go with the Radmini for 1699
I’m 6ft 245lbs and I got the Radrover and love it!
They just got the radmini back in stock today.
It would be nice to have the same battery for me but not necessary since I don't need to commute. My first priority was for it to be comfortable for my 5' wifey and preferred to have fat tires. Also helps if I didnt have to wait 2 more weeks before I can order it.
The Veego fat tire was in...
Update: I ended up ordering her a Veego fat tire folding eBike for $1599 (free shipping).
I was leaning towards the Radcity Step-thru, but it's not in stock for another 1-2 weeks according to their support and I don't wanna wait.
Kinda cool that they come 99% assembled. You only have to...
Here are the 3 racks I am now looking at:
Saris Superclamp EX 4 Bike Rack $469 for 2 bikes - $849 - $879 for 4 bikes (Says it works with fenders)
Thule T2 Pro XT 4 Bike Rack $462 for 2 bikes - $797 for 4 bikes (Doesnt work with fenders)
Hollywood Sport Rider Rack for Electric Bikes $431 for 2...
Update: I contacted Rad on Saturday about the damages and got a reply today (Monday) that they already sent out the replacement parts and to send them the receipt for when Velofix makes the repairs which Rad will cover.
Gotta say... So far Rad Bikes and customer service is freak'n RAD!
Thanks every one. I rode it again yesterday about 6 miles and got a little more adventures on my own. I rode on the gravel walking paths and even took it on one of the hiking trails for a little test spin.
Love the Radrover and gonna buy my wifey one of the Rads too.
Thanks for this awesome post on the Radcity commuter. I am still trying to decide between the RadMini or Radcity Step-thru for my 5' 2" wife. She usually rides her Liv triathlon bike. But she is limited to pavement riding and not able to keep up with my Radrover on the hills...lol. We will be...
I am leaning more towards the Rad Bikes.
The Radcity Commuter handlebar reach is listed at 13.5"
The RadMini handlebar reach is listed at 16"
I have seen a review where they said the RadMini 2018 is a little taller than the 2017 model.
I also recently read a great review on...
I am looking to buy my wife her first eBike. I just bought my first eBike (Radrover) and love it! I rode it twice so far (Got it on Friday). Been taking it on the streets, gravel paths and even a little on a hiking trail which took a lot of peddling to get up with peddle assist 5.
For my wife...
The Thule XP Pro is what I’m looking at. Videos on YT show you can spread the bikes out better and also buy an addon to extend to 4 bikes.
I just got my Radrover delivered Friday by Fedex and the box had dings and big rip where the rear derailleur is (it was damaged). The handlebar had a big gash in it too.
You can see inside the box they only use a few small hard white squares taped to the box to protect the sides of the box...
