Bike for Wife: Torquey mid-drive, throttle, step-thru, belt?

I'm late to this party.... i was going to say the Ariel Rider M-class. My wife loves it.

    Sondors MadMod

Yeah. Not a cheap bike. Has super long range (when both batteries work). I'm super tempted by this bike: https://pedalelectric.com/products/pro I don't know.... i guess I should just wait a few more MONTHS for my MadMod. I didn't realize Sondors was 12 months late with it's mid-drive...

    So quiet

Good question. Late response. 1) I REALLY don't like the forward position of the X.52 2) I wanted something lighter than the HS2. And it's not cheap. 3) Madmods - i wanted a scrambler, that is sized for taller people (24'' tires), with a roughly 1,000 amp hour batter, i like the design...

    Sondors MadMod

I bought a MADMOD. And like all others who took that gamble, I have no idea when I'm getting it. It's about 6 months behind schedule. On the one hand, i'm not commuting to work, so it doesn't matter. On the other hand..... the waiting is the hardest part. I ASSUME they built the bikes to...

Whatever happened to your Sondors order? Did you cancel it? It looks like you bought a Juggernaut???

    CrossCurrent S2 - Brake pads

My CrossCurrent S2 has over 500 miles. 1) How did you know when it was time to change your brake pads? 2) Which pads did you buy? If you provided a link.... that would be awesome!

    So quiet

My story is a little similar. I own a Juiced CCS2 and an Ariel Rider M-class. The M-class was technically for my wife, as it's a smaller bike and easier to maneuver. It's a great girl's bike. Anyways, she did not support buying the MadMod. But, I'd planned on buying a scrambler for some...

    So quiet

That does sound crazy. So.... no MadMod? (All those bikes sound awesome BTW.) I have a Juiced CCS2. I have that while i wait, but i'm in MN. So, too cold to bike anyways. I think you are in WI.

Wait, you have two bikes on order? Or you bailed on the MadMod?

    What are the risks?

When my rim bent on my rear-hub ebike (CC S2), the LBS had no idea how much it would cost or where to get a rim and estimated that a rebuild would cost $500. Juiced sold me a rim and I changed the spokes over myself (just tapped the rims to each other and moved them one at a time). I then paid...

    Any New X-class Owners?

That new 52V X-class checks most boxes. AR is a legit competitor. The scrambler market has completely changed in the last year. I asked if they were could to have a second-seat accessory, as it now has a smaller seat..... they said maybe in the future. The lack of second seat and the...

    Sondors MadMod

Ah yeah, now it's got a May ship date: https://shop.sondors.com/products/sondors-madmods-may-2020 Not bad. For much of the mid-west, odds are you can't bike in March.

What's your plan for a flat tire 10 miles from home?

If you drive Juice, you'll need the 18mm open-face to remove the rear tire..... or have a plan that doesn't involve removing the tire (patch, spray-goo, etc.).

    Do you have a mid-drive?

What's your plan for a flat tire 10 miles from home?

Nah, your post was good. You gave a concrete example of how you'd fix it with your hands. I thought that was helpful. For rear-wheel hubs, removing the rear tire requires a very specific tool. Few mention that.... I could have said that without the snark. Cheeers.
