Well, of course, the Trek Allant+7 Lowstep for around $3,600 has the Bosch Performance Line CX that, with update, provides 85Nm of torque. Great ebike in my humble opinion.

I re-tested a Specialized, Trek Berve 3, and what I have ordered the Trek Allant 7. My knees liked it the best. Went ahead and ordered one for my wife too

Are you stepping out of bounds :) , I thought this thread was focused on Step-Thru style ?
No, not really... just sort for step-thru to see the best recommendations. Hope this helps.

I'm considering buying an e-bike for myself and my wife and we both want a step through. I'm curious looking at number of lists of "best" bikes that I rarely see Pedego products. We recently visited the local Pedego store and were very impressed with their selection and the quality of the bikes.

Pay no attention to “best” lists except to help set your expectations on feature sets, functionality, etc.
IMHO, the bikes you can see and test that have a real shop with good ownership are worth more as long as they suit your purposes and have a good reputation. My Trek Allant+7 wasn’t on any “best” list but there a LOT of Trek shops in my area and it was, according to Trek, the Dutch Ebike of 2020. It’s been everything I want in an ebike and has been solid, reliable and a blast to own. We liked it so much that we bought a Lowstep version for my wife and she loves hers.😎👍

@Ebiker33 This is a good list of lovely quality bikes.

We went with a Lectric XP Step Thru...500W (800W+ peak) brushless geared rear hub, at the semi-disposable sticker of $899.

EBR Review (Sister model):

We are going to de-badge and lock it outside and just bring in the battery, which is not something we would consider with a $3,600 bike.

That's the real-world, medium-security-risk, crux for us: can we leave this shiny, pretty 65lb thing locked up somewhere, and still expect it to be there when we get back?
