When: Wednesday, March 30, 2016
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Where: Sharon Park,
350 Sharon Park Dr, Menlo Park, Ca
What: http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-E-Bike-Meetup/events/229797402/

This meet-up is intended to be a fun demo/learning event for any one interested in test-riding some of our electric cargo bikes in a safe hilly area.

Bring your kids and some food have a picnic at the park!

We will have 2 or 3 eCargo bikes on hand for you to ride at and around Sharon Park in the hills of Menlo Park, which is near Sand Hill Road. Check the map above.

The park features a wonderful pond and paths to ride around on away from traffic and then there is a neighborhood road that goes around the park so you can tackle some larger hills on a city street. You'll be able to get a feel for the comfort, power and cargo capacity of each bike, enabling you to see the pros and cons of each in an environment ideally suited to electric cargo bikes.

Electric cargo bikes help by enabling you to get up a hill while on a bike with little stress. They also allow you to go where cars can't go, such as a park, or school, where you can drop off or pick-up kids while avoiding traffic and parking. The bikes we'll have on hand at this event will include

Triobike Mono E - this is a front loading bucket type ebike with 3 wheels and powered by the BIONX rear-drive ebike system

Yuba Spicy Curry - this is a "long tail" mid-drive ebike with the Curry mid-drive motor

Felt Bruhaul BOSCH Powered - this is a "long tail" mid-drive ebike using the BOSCH mid-drive motor.

Each of these bikes has different characteristics, features, comfort and performance factors for you to test out in real-world conditions, at a park with some easy hills in a neighborhood with some harder hills.

We'll have some literature for you to take and water and helmets for you to use for riders and kids.

Thanks for your comment George! Come on out to our demo if you can make it so you can test the bikes on your own.
