I am selling a full kit to convert your Surly Puglsey or other fat bike into an efficient all season commuting bike.

Kit details, high quality components from Grin Technologies in Vancouver, BC:
• V3 Cycle Analyst, note: speedometer readout not available with sensorless operation, but have magnetic pickup kit
• Phaserunner Field Oriented Motor Controller for smooth sensorless operation.
• Open Source Motor Controller programming
• TCDM Direct Drive Motor with 5 speed integral geared hub Mounted in 80mm Surly fat bike rim
• Single Speed drivetrain for winter ease of maintenance
• Regenerative Breaking/ LH throttle/ RH brake cuttoff
• Encoder system provides cadence control for motor
• Hard wired front and rear lights.
• Large EM3EV 52V 26.5 Ah Battery for long range (~40-60 miles)

$1500 for the kit, very low hours in this kit, battery has less than 30 charging cycles.

You can also buy the bike complete for $2,500.

Bike Details
• 18" Surly Pugsley original arctic white (medium)
• 2 sets of tires for summer (Vee Speedster) and winter (Surly)
• Big-O Fenders
• Ergon Cork grips
• Thudbuster seatpost

I have over $4K invested, and the bike has less than 20 commutes. The bike has never been ridden in road salt. Truly this is a great deal for the right individual. My goal was to build a bike that could I could ride 15 miles each way to work. Year round in Minnesota any road, any weather. You can have confidence that the bike was built by an experienced mechanical engineer, that took time to get the details right. Overall a very nice machine. The controller is fully programmable and can interface to a laptop.

Please shoot me a PM if interested, I can send detail photos.

Willing to ship anywhere in the USA. All reasonable offers will be considered

I'm looking to upgrade to a Grin controller , analyst and their newer motor. Already have their Satiator.
How was your exp. using the FOC controller ?
I have a 500watts (860peak) motor, 48/18 controller.

FOC has worked really well, no issues, very smooth and runs cool.
