How wide of a tire can I fit on the NeoJumper 26"?

Bike comes with 2.25" tires.... ?

What i've read about bike design says there should be a minimum of 5mm clearance between the tire and chainstay/chainring.

5 mm = -.2"

A 2.5" tire is 0.125 " wider from the centerline of a 2.25" tire.

So if your bike has 2.25" tires and there is a minimum of 0.125" + 0.2" = 0.325" ~ 5/16" clearance on EACH side of the tire, then you're probably OK for 2.5" tires.

Awesome response JoePah! I'd estimate that they would work as well. Definitely let us know if you get them and how they turn out Mike!

Thank you for the reply.
After more measurement and consideration it does not appear a 2.5" tire will fit.
The cables running to the motor and rear derailer are the limiting factor.

I found the original Rapid Robs loose on our local mix of sand/dirt/ruts, and have switched to a 2.3" wide store brand, Forte from Performance Bike supposedly made by Maxxis. They seem more predictable on my local trails.

Thanks for the feedback Mike! Sorry for the delayed response here, been driving a lot and checking out some new ebikes on the East Coast. Would be fun to connect once I'm back in Colorado later this year :)
