New Evo Jet battery not getting full charge

Anyone have issue with this? I only get 4 out of 5 leds illuminated upon full charge indicator (going green on charger). I charged off the bike. When interface was turned on, the battery percentage is at 68% and not 100%. Could it be b/c it is the 1st charge? Charging only took less than 1 hr 1/2 out of box. Any comments or resolutions?

I have a new 2016 Evo Snow 29er and my charges up with no issues. I usually charge it on the bike. It has a 48v battery 10.5aH battery which charges up fairly quickly. Maybe it run it down to like 20%, then try to do a full charge.

Thanks Jazz. I got 5 LEDs now on the 2nd charge. First charge started @20% and the 2nd @ 18%, so I think I am on my way to a battery with a good state of health (I hope)!

Jazz-That is a very nice bike. I have the Evo Jet step thru I just purchased. I am finding that the interface can be a little sensitive while changing PAS levels. Looks like the pins under the unit can lose contact and cause a Comm error while riding. I have found when I do not keep pressing modes, it works fine. Have you found this with your Evo 29er at all? I may opt to go with the new center console display option as an upgrade in the future.

Thanks. I haven't had any issues with my display or settings other than the clip that holds it is a poor design. I have accidentally knocked it off twice in the past 2 weeks. I do really like the bike. It is well-built with good components. All of my other ebikes have throttle and I kind of miss that on this bike. Also I wish I could override the 20mph speed limit.

I agree. Looks like BH puts out quality products based on my experience and review with this bike. The head tube is very large in circumference. and it looks like a quality build. I looked at other ebikes at a nearby dealer and they did not have that same durable feel and rigid construction. I have a Dapu motor and seems very responsive and the torque sensor is sensitive when you get some chain movement from uneven tarmac. It activates the motor to push forward for a split second.

Sounds like you are very happy with the functionality of your bike. A very wise purchase indeed. Countless hours spent on my end with research. Have you considered a speed dongle for over 20mph? They can also be purchased from overseas dealers, but I think it may void your warranty.
Thanks Jazz and ride safe.

What is the speed dongle? Is this a way connect your computer to the bike to program? This would need software too, correct? Thanks

The dongle is a wired sensor that connects directly to the motor electronics. It overrides the original settings and increases the speed to approx 32mph.
In the US, they sell them at various dealers. I think Motostrano may have them. Perhaps google or this forum may have other information.
I do not believe the dongle uses additional software. It is solely hardware upgrade. Good Luck!

Here is some info on the speedbox:
