No PAS or throttle :(

Hi! I am having an issue with my brand new Radrover that arrived in the mail last Friday. After assembling it, I took it for a test run to my local grocery store. Halfway through the trip I received an error 21 code and the PAS and throttle ceased to work. The code disappeared from the display when I got the bike home, but still no throttle or pedal assist. I am a complete newbie when it comes to things like this so any suggestions please 'dumb down' :) I got this bike as my primary transportation to and from work but sadness has quickly set in. I contacted Rad Power and hopefully will hear back from them. Thanks for listening!

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere? Disconnect/inspect wires/reconnect the LCD, wiring harness, controller, and Hub motor connections. I would double-check LCD connections and make sure something like turning the handlebars are not putting stress on any connectors in that area.

No much you can do if that doesn't work. Rad will have to send you one, some or all of the LCD screen, controller, and/or wiring harness for you to replace.

Thank you for the quick replies! I'll double check everything on the bike and hopefully can get this solved. The display doesn't list the error anymore, there just isn't and power to the pas and throttle. everything (display and battery) show full charge so if this doesn't work I am stumped. The short ride I had when it was all working was amazing. When all is working, it is buy far the best purchase I could have made. It was the middle of the night so no one could see the stupid grin on my face during the ride!

Same thing happened me. There is a wire from the controller (on the seat tube), it enters the down tube ahead of the cranks et. About 1 " from where it entees there a connection you can't see. What happened to me is when I was off the bike turning sharply around it pulled the connector apart enough to lose all power to the motor. Battery lights up everything was fine but no power. The cable goes up the tube and end in the bundle outside the handle bars. You need to turn the handlebar full left or right (don't remember which way). This will give slack to the cable to fish your finger up the tube to find the connector. I had to cut the ties at the hand learn to get enough slack. Might not be your problem but I taped tge connectar so it won't come spart

Alright. Found the connector and made sure it was plugged in firmly but still nothing. Something must be bad somewhere, maybe in that controller box by the battery? Sorry for my ignorance everyone.

I would call RAD. The bike has a one year warranty and if anyone can walk you through what to check etc.. it is them. If they determine it is the controller, or something else, only they can replace it for you.
