just wanted to pass this info on

got the high vis Ortlieb handlebar bag, the mounting kit that comes with it will not fit my haibike, bagibike or wattwagon

they do make an e-bike mount to accommodate the displays and I am ordering one tonite, will update on how it does when it gets here

Hi Vincent. I use the Ortlieb Ultimate6 Large on my Haibike Full FatSix and have been using the mount that Ortlieb sells for mounting GPS displays, Ebike Display readouts, etc. It works great. Here's some pics of the display mounted on the Ortlieb mount. I believe since these photos were taken, I readjusted the angle of the display in order to not have it stick out so much above the bag.

Hard core mountain bikers who jump cliff faces and go down Alpine Mountain gorges may find the display is mounted in a way that will expose it to damage upon a crash into some boulder or what have you; but for the rest of us, I believe it works just fine.

Thanks for the pics

Stopping by a shop today that I hope will this mount, anxious to get the bag on the bike

But wanted to make sure the original did not fit any of the bikes before I spent 30 on another mount

Will post pics of my setup when I get it done too

hmm, I got the ebike mount for the ultimate 6 today and it is still not wide enough for the display on my haibike radius tour

sounds like you have a different mount, going to research now

mike do you have any lights on your bike? guess I can find another extension, will see what campfire cycling has when I go there Thursday

Vincent, here are some pictures I took this morning of my handlebar bag and light set up.

If you go with the handlebar bag, you will need to move your light onto a front rack (as I did with my Full FatSix, as well as on my Specialized Fatboy). Or.....if your Haibike has a hole in the fork crown, there are light mounts available to mount it there. The two legs of that Ortlieb mount are set as low as it will mount. I wound up playing with the angle of the display as well as the fore and aft adjustment to move it closer to the bag.

The placement of my Schmidt Edelux II light on the front rack places the light in a line close enough to where it would go on the fork crown. That fork crown location is where German bike lighting laws specify; I don't know if this law was changed as many ebikes have lights on the handlebars these days, but since we are in the US, that is not for us to worry about.

Peter White Cycles is the definitive word about bicycle lighting. Here's the link to his page just on mounting the front lights: https://www.peterwhitecycles.com/light-mounts.php

I mounted my front light on the Old Man Mountain rack using Supernova's bike light mount, a sturdy, well built, anodized aluminum mount that can hold it's position no matter the jarring you give the front wheel.

My lighting system is a dyno hub system. I wanted full voltage going to the motor drive and motor drive only. It was an expensive adventure, but it will last a lifetime. All Schmidt components, from the headlight, rear tail light and the 150mm rock shox bluto compatible Schmidt dyno hub. Looking forward to what you come up with....

been meaning to update this

ended up using the regular ortlieb mount not the ebike, it still does not fit great

we could not get my display to work on the extensions, so pushed out the display brackets a little and managed to fit it in between, but it does have pressure on the brackets which I don't love, so far it is holding up

not sure what displays either of their bike mounts would fit, none of my bikes could fit them
