Nice build! Why did you get two different repair stands, if you don't mind me asking?Pics will come soon, but as of now I only have the bike and some parts. Still waiting on the BBosHD. Anyways, here's a list of everything I've purchased so far for my DIY budget ebike.

I think i forgot to select a throttle option for my HD, but I can always order it later I suppose. Interestingly enough, the Dolphin pack I ordered isn't available anymore, now the only options for batteries are rear pack. In the forthcoming weeks, I may make a few more purchases for pedals, seat/seat suspension and some winter/rain gear, but over all I believe I'm finished with all the major purchases for this project.
I just wanted to say thanks to this great community for everything we are doing for the ebike movement, and yeah. Thanks.
More to come... you know I can't stop now...with just one ebike.
They seem to offer one Dolphin pack, right now, but only with a kit purchase. I wonder why they are going with the rear racks and the frame bags? Simpler, I suppose.I think i forgot to select a throttle option for my HD, but I can always order it later I suppose. Oh, my bad. I had two on my wish list. I only ended up with the RAD Cycle stand because it went on sale first and held 5 or 10 lbs more than the other one. Max weight of 65 lbs.Nice build! Why did you get two different repair stands, if you don't mind me asking?
Sounds good, will be interested in seeing them. In the 3 conversions I've done the only issue I've had is the bottom bracket on two of the bikes was slightly deformed preventing me from sliding the drive in. If you have any problems with the BB post it. The rest of the installation was a snap.Pics will come soon
Fat bikes consume a lot of watts because of weight and friction of those fatties.I ran into some challenges with the non drive side crank arm hitting the chainstay as well as the front chain ring hitting the chainstay. This article was great to remedy those problems
I ordered an offset crank arm for the non drive side and that did the trick for one side. Then I also bought washers to make the mounting plate even https://electricfatbike.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/imag2987-e1447264147846.jpg
Finally I bought longer bolts and lock washers which served as spacers for the chain ring.
My drive unit is finally installed. I've converted my tires to tubeless, upgraded my chain, installed my pannier rack. No I'm waiting on the battery which ships Monday with my C965 display. Now they are offering a slim battery back and I don't know which one to get. Any suggestions? @Kaldeem
