Hi guys I have a problem that just began today my rear hub motor is making a weird noise and feels like it's grinding on something even though it's not whenever I try to give it some power not sure what's causing it, I tested all the cables from the controller and nothing seems to be wrong not sure if anyone could help thanks in advance. Here is a link to the video that shows the noise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsA9...ature=youtu.be Update: took the motor apart and i still don't see any problems not sure if you guys wanna look at these photos and see anything wrong

Don't watch videos. How many miles/hours on the motor? does it have gears or direct drive?
My geared hub motor started making grinding noise about 2 months 500 miles ago, and yesterday it made a huge grunch sound and stopped allowing me to back up. New gears/hub motor time I guess. It has about 5000 miles on it, 2 1/2 years.
You can postpone the inevitable by taking the cover off on the non-wire side and adding some grease to the gears. I did, when the cover came loose about a year ago.
In DD, the only thing to go bad is the bearing. Look at it. If worn out and it is 6801 or 6803 you can get a real one (suitable for car A/C compressors) at the auto supply or MSC direct. Buy the sealed one, bikes get splashed a lot.

I have had the motor for about 2 months now it's a direct drive motor and has maybe 80 miles on it at least the last time I road it it was fine, I put it away for the night, then the next day I take it out and get ready and now it's making a weird noise as if it was hitting/grinding something and it's coming from the motor.

Too much going on with that video. Next time, use the kickstand to lift the bike wheel off the ground, so you don't have to run alongside the bike to make the video.
