Finally got a decent ride in. TBH I think I went too far first time out, but I had ants, so did 60kms. By 40 I knew I was over doing it, but whaddya gonna do...

Spring has sprung?

Lots of construction on the Mud Bay path...

He caught the bug for flying... see what I did there? Shut up Dave... One minute later he took off.

28kms in at the end of Mud Bay path...

Lots of varied scenery — I enjoy that. Mud Bay looks lovely. A branding consultant could fix that name.

Looks like a great blue heron in the 2nd photo down. One graced our Denver lake for 3 years then vanished. Elegant birds in all but their squawk.

What are the distant peaks in the 2nd photo up?

Those are part of the mountains on the North Shore of Vancouver where I grew up (no you didn't... it was just an attempt)...
Cypress, Grouse, Seymour, and other peaks. https://www.awalkandalark.com/vancouver-north-shore-mountains/
Lots of fun to be had there skiing, mountain biking (kind of a mecca for MTB) known as the "North Shore", hiking etc.
North of that would be Squamish and Whistler which are again a mecca for MTB and skiing etc.

20% grade is doable but its only a couple hundred feet with a 90 degree turn at the bottom and the path had moss and stuff on it no way were we going to attempt that.

Early 7 mile jaunt in the neighborhood not alot of activities at the park community swimming pool is closed kind of wanted to wade in the water.
An inoperable drinking fountain if you zoom in on one picture you will see that the handle had been removed most if not all park goers drink bottle water but be nice if the City and County fix it for watering dogs also an old telephone stand also inoperable something you don't normally see nowadays.
I use to work for State Parks and Recreation. So I couldn't help myself from taking notice of neglect from C&C maintenance crew.
