Some news from Switzerland:
- A new entry level model will use the technology from the ST2 but have a smaller battery pack.
Some additional info from @bluecat and other sources:
- The new bike will be called ST1x
- The ST1x will have a 618Wh battery (48V) - weight: 4.5kg.
- The larger ST2 batteries (814 Wh) are thought to be compatible with the new bike.
- The ST1x has a 500 Watt 35nm Cyro drive rather than a Syno drive.
- The system weight is announced at 26 kg.
- Step thru frame is available in 17". Diamond shaped frame is available in 17, 20, 22".
- Shimano SLX 11 speed.
- Colors: White, Black, Orange
- Front light: Roxim X4 EP
- Omni and theft protection included
- Retail price: 4990 Euros

- Some local Swiss news (probably of less interest to people in the U.S.): Stromer was no longer distributed by "Mway" (the local Swiss equivalent of Target), but they will once again be distributed by that shop. The first Stromers will be back on sale at Mway in a few days. It's good news because Mway has about 20 sales points in the country. It also shows that Stromer is "still healthy", which is always nice to hear.
