Specialized buys my LBS

Interesting. So does that mean that LBS will only sell Specialized? So they become an outlet for the corporation? Wish BH would buy up a shop in my neck of the woods, so I could be sure of getting service, parts and warranty...

I was going to look at a Tern in Charlottesville, VA and looked on their website before I left (its a good drive from my place) and Specialized bought 'em out. Now its only Specialized products. I'm kinda use to this set-up as we have a Trek only dealer near us. I guess if you own that brand this is a good thing?

They will continue to service my Trek but as in the case of my replacement kickstand required me to order it Myself. My contact there Erin said they will continue to carry a few niche bikes whose names escape me. The buyout was for crazy money she said. I want to replace my phone mount with a Nyon. I assume I’ll have to order it from Bosch but she let me know she had a reservoir of contacts for info on Trek, Bosch etc.
Specialized has so far left them alone she said.
