is this little gem here:

(Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

The pdf file (brief English version) is too large to attach so here some quotes:

  • Ultra lightweight eBikedrive miniaturized, efficient
  • Mass production ready (significantly cheaper to manufacture than competing products),
  • For sports cyclists and everyday riders with a sporting outlook (especially well suited);
  • Technically innovative with future-proof unique selling points:
  • Miniaturised ultra-lightweight e-bike drive, motor weight 500 grams, approx 1.6 kg only - for motor and battery (8-11 kg extra weight is typical),
  • Much reduced raw material usage (by design).
  • Ready for efficient manufacture at considerably lower cost than all current competitor products (1/3), especially in large production runs.
  • Potential to achieve a dominant place among e-bike drive systems (medium term),
  • Worldwide patents are valid for 20 years.
  • Unobtrusive: the eBikedrive fits neatly to mature classic cycle designs
  • (lifestyle and everyday bikes).
  • No restriction of normal cycling (eDrive use is optional), Overall weight barely increases, weight distribution is favourable, easily carried (for e.g. urban public transport).
  • No increased rear tyre pressure is required, Freewheel to minimise friction when coasting; no restriction on gear changing.
The Brains behind it:

Dipl. Ing. Peter Frieden, inventor, wind power specialist (small wind turbines certified and
in use worldwide), ...

Dipl. Designer A. Ogando, communications specialist with sector experience, ...

I think we've seen these kind of things posted on here before. If I cut my hair, the reduced wind resistance would give me as much boost as that...

That looks sweet as hell.
Though you have to wonder about power and longevity with those tiny motors.
Could be they make sense.
