Turbo Vado SL 4.0 eq question/thoughts

Hello all. I wanted to see your input on an issue I have with my month old Vado sl. First off I love the bike but I’m getting a clicking noise from the crank area and my LBS has been trying to solve the problem (they have been great) but each time I get home the problem comes up again. I love the dove gray color and that’s what I have.
This morning the shop owner called and offered to swap out my bike because of the issue but I would have to switch to the matte blue color. I’ve never spent this much money on a bike before and I’m torn on what to do because the color I have is back ordered for quite some time and they have a Large Blue in stock. Curious if anyone has had this same issue. It’s a repeated (random) clicking noise that comes and goes.
Some of you may have read on another thread that I was the one that did the software update and the chain came off a couple of times. This is all related. There was a retaining clip that was bad from the factory that allowed it to happen. They replaced it and the clicking noise is now more prominent. Turns out when the shop does the calibration update they have to take the chain off and then there is a very specific way it needs to be put back on. Thanks for reading the long post.

Like you, I'm a new first time owner of a Vado SL. Mine's a 5 EQ though. From what I have read here and elsewhere, clicking down there can be a very bad thing. If that happened to me and a was offered a complete replacement, albeit in a color I liked less, I'd take the new bike. Sorry for your troubles and hope your rides are smooth soon.

I had the same issue, sounded like a click was coming from the motor/bottom bracket area. It actually ended up being the seatpost. There seems to be a bit of a gap between the seatpost diameter and seattube inner diameter under the seatpost tightening bolt and the seatpost was flexing and rubbing causing the creak. I added some grease and it went away for a few days. I added some more, and it seems to be fine for now.
