I have a predator from civi bikes. Ive noticed my rear wheel is not centered in the frame. This is causing the bike to be unbalanced and gets the death wobbles at speed. I think the wheel is not dished correctly. How can this be fixed. Bike is still under warranty.

I thought maybe adjusting the spokes would solve it, but im not touching it until i contact my dealer. And he close enough to ride my bike there. He's a real nice guy. Ill contact him Monday and explain the problem to him and compare mine to another bike and see if theres a difference or if ive stumbled apon some inherit flaw in those bikes. I spent alot of money for the bike to now find something wrong with the bike i fell in love with.

Dishing is where you adjust the spokes tighter on side than on the othet. Pulls the rim over a surprising amount for something like 1/4 turn difference in tension. I always believed that was more for the ease of riding no handed and also wheel alignment for rim brakes.

Death wobble at high speed may be something else.

The wheels need to be centered or problems
Will happen. Yes a dearth wobble
Would not be fun. Are there any washers on the hub that maybe got in the wrong place?

Nope. No washers. The hub is fine and in the right place. The rim is off by half inch or so in the frame. Some checking od wheel dish and frame runouts are in order here i believe. I cant believe that a new ebike could be damaged so bad. But it was already put together at the dealer so who knows if someone crashed in a test drive...

So i called my bike dealer and he said warranty on electric components only. He says, I get bike in box. I no control what in box. It come that way. It need something else, you fix. I said ok, but not if the frame is bent, then ill want a replacement bike. So ill have to take it up with the manufacturer.

Your dealer may be a nice guy, but he is also wrong. He has no control over what is in the box? It is his job to ensure that what he is selling is not damaged and assembled properly. Just shrugging his shoulders and telling you to fix it yourself is beyond ridiculous.

right what the point is a dealer if they don't do anything to help you? your paying to get the bike assembled and thats it?

I can't quite tell from your photos, but if the wheel rim shifts when you flip the wheel around, that means the wheel is out of center/dish. If the wheel rim remains in the same position, then the frame or dropouts are out of alignment,

Good then my frame is not bent... I can deal with fixing the wheel.
