A 177 year old company from Mallabia, Spain that began as a rifle and gun producer but entered the bicycle sector in the 1930s, transitioned to a cooperative in the 1970s, and has been recognized globally with team stage wins in the Tour de France and international mountain bike race victories throughout the 1990s. Orbea is part of the Mondragón Cooperative Corporation which is Spain’s largest bicycle manufacturing group. They produce a range of electric bikes with Bosch and Shimano drive systems.
