7 years agoThe Trek Dual Sport electric bike sounds like best choice for me but have not been able to find a Trek Dealer who has one in stock, or willing to order one, without me purchasing ahead of time. Any ideas on how to find a Trek dealer who might have one available for me to test ride? Or, be able to contact Trek direct for help?
Enjoy your reviews. Good information. Thanks.

6 years agoHi,
I’m looking at a used version of this bike for commuting. I’m 6’1″ and 200lbs, my commute is 26k round trip with the way to work being flat or downhill and the way home mostly uphill (approx. 650ft elevation gain). Do you think the 50NM torque motor will be enough or should I hold out for something more powerful given my height and weight?
Thanks!

5 years agoHi Andy! In my opinion, Trek is a leader in the ebike space and makes reliable products. Their stores provide great customer support, maintenance, and fitting. The Dual Sport is using a proven Shimano mid-drive, and while it’s not the most powerful… it is quiet, efficient, and reliable. I’d feel comfortable going for this if the bike fit well and the price was a good fit :)
