Gepida is European bicycle brand that started in Budapest Hungary in 1993. The founder was importing bicycles from Italy and decided to make his own products, eventually sourcing hardware from Taiwan. Gepida developed an in-house electric drive system with hub motor and rack battery around 2008 and then began using Bosch in 2012. The company emphasizes reliability and precise stylish lines on their products and is one of the only brands to sell an electric tandem bicycle.
