Desiknio was founded by Joaquin Cortes, an engineer with 15 years of experience who is from Granada, Spain. Their products tend to be lightweight, beautiful, and minimal in design. The company was founded in 2017 after introducing a prototype at Eurobike in 2016. The first products reached the market in 2018 and bikes are being made and sold in limited quantities through dealers in Germany, the UK, and some shipping to the United States. Designio means goal, target, or strong purpose in Spanish, the k was changed because of the founders name.
