Polaris

In 2009 Evantage USA, a partner of Polaris Industries, started researching technology which would help them develop the Polaris version 1.0 eBike motor system. In 2011 the first Polaris Ebike motor system was released in North America and in the first year more than 100 dealers signed up in the US, Canada, and Latin America. In 2013 Evantage went international by launching Polaris eBikes in some places inside Europe. In 2015 the Polaris eBike version 2.0 motor system was launched with some new proprietary technologies such as battery regeneration and auto terrain sensing controls.

Polaris has some very interesting pieces of technology. Their “Perpetual Arc Regen” technology allows the rider to power the battery through peddling in a few different situations. Using this technology can allow the rider to generate up to 100 watts of charging power when on a flat surface or downward slope. Another piece of technology Polaris incorporates, is their Proride™ battery. This lithium-ion technology allows their batteries to be highly durable, while also being removable and circuit protected.
