7 years agoHi Andrew! My guess is that any bike shop with IZIP and Raleigh products (or other Shimano powered ebikes) would be able to help place an order. You could also reach out directly to Raleigh electric here or IZIP electric support here which has an 800 number to calle. They are sister companies, I hope this helps!

6 years agoI love this bike. Comparable to the Bosch drive. I was impressed enough with this to buy one.
ReplyMy friend has a 2015 Bosch drive on his LaPierre Carbon MTB. I was unaware that anyone other than Bosch was doing the compact, integrated motor and crank assembly with detachable battery. Having ridden the Bosch unit I was not disappointed with the STEPs. Other than a bit of whine use is refined and transparent. What makes this unit comparable to the Bosch is the retention of a rear cassette. Unlike the unit mounted on this bike. My Raleigh version has an updated charging unit that living in the SF bay area I have not seen on other Sport ie is I can charge my battery in place. The charger did come with an adapter which is handy to charge an extra battery while you are out riding. but I don’t need it. I commute from Pacifica to South San Francisco (Oyster Point), Ocean to Bay commute. I cross two mountain ranges approximately 5300 vertical feet total. I am 210lbs and carry about 15-20lbs of gear, Change of clothes, charger and lock. even using max assist ( I am a lazy bastard) the battery is not near depleted. I suppose this review is more for the STEPS system. IF you can find a deal on this version of STEPS with the rear cassette integration buy it. It was about $350 less that a similarly equiped Trek which had a front shock. STEPS in my opinion is very sophisticated and competes head to head with Bosch. Come to think of it the Bosch is more powerful and the Bosch has a huge surge which means more TORQUE. But the STEPS steps right up. I mean I cross some serious mountains. A crazy commute even by car. This little bike with the steps up.
