Electric Bike Reviews

Electric bikes or ebikes combine human power from pedaling with electronic power from a hub motor, mid drive, or friction drive powered by a battery pack. They come in all shapes and sizes, including trikes, tandems, folding, cargo, and more. A traditional analog bicycle can usually be converted to electric through the use of kits. Ebikes fall into three classes including Class 1 pedal assist only up to a set speed (usually 25kmh or 32kmh), Class 2 throttle only or throttle with pedal assist up to a set speed (usually 25kmh or 32kmh), and high speed Class 3 up to a set level (usually 45kmh 28mph).

Lectric XP 3.0 Review – Still the Best E-Bike Under $1000?

  • MSRP: $1,305
  • MODEL YEAR: 2024

The XP 3.0 is everything we liked about the XP 2.0, but more, and better. The brakes are hydraulic disc now, motor is more powerful, the drivetrain has more high end, the fork has more travel and the rear rack is now integrated into the frame, increasing this e-bike’s carrying capacity.. The motor still produces 500W nominally, but peak wattage has climbed from 850 to 1000…...

The 300W (819W peak, 28Nm of torque) brushless geared hub motor has been updated; it’s now quieter and provides a surprising amount of power, giving the XP Lite 2.0 more pep than expected.. The 375Wh battery offers reasonable, though not amazing, range. It is estimated to offer up…...

Aventon Aventure.2 E-Bike Review, 2024

  • MSRP: $1,799
  • MODEL YEAR: 2023

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and the Aventon Aventure has been imitated (ok, a better word is probably copied) several times the last 2-3 years. With so much competition and brands creating 26” x 4” fat tire ebikes, I was surprised at how the Aventure.2 not only still holds its own vs the competition but is still one of, if not the, best rear hub fat tire electric bikes.. If I’m going to sum this e-bike up in a word, that word is versatility.…...

I’m blown away with the new Radster Trail from Rad Power Bikes. This is an exciting new model that is as versatile as it is powerful. From the frame to the motor to the wheel and tire choice, this is a terrific new model from one of the most popular makers of e-bikes.. Lectric ONE Review 2024 – Is This E-Bike Even Real?

  • MSRP: $1,999
  • MODEL YEAR: 2024

This is a game-changer of an e-bike. We didn’t expect to see both a 750W hub motor and a Pinion gear box for less than $2000. This is a remarkable design that reminds us how few companies produce e-bikes as chock-full of value as Lectric. I’m not ready to call this the e-bike of the year just yet—it’s only March—but it’s going to be in the running for sure, but more importantly, this will be disruptive to the industry.. This is the sort of e-bke that has the potential to coax even more people…...
